UC Wushu Contenders are RP pride
After two weeks of battle in the 16th Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China, the Philippines took home a total of 16 medals, ranking 19th over-all.
Baguio City and the Cordilleras take pride as Mark Eddiva bagged a bronze medal for Wushu, Men's Sanshuo, 65 kgs Category; the only medal in the said event for the Philippines.
Shortly after the 16th Asiad, Eddiva went back to Chongqing Yubei, China for the 5th Wushu Sanshou World Cup where he again bagged a bronze medal on December 16 to 18.
Following the triumphs of Mark Eddiva in the wushu world arena, Benito Amado also brought home a bronze medal for Sanshuo or San da (combat), 45 kgs Category in the World Junior Wushu Championship held in Singapore on December 3-10.
