Library Instruction

The Libraries conducts orientations and instructions to help and guide patrons on how to access, navigate and use the library's resources.

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. This service shall provide readily available information to help and guide patrons on how to access, navigate and use the library’s resources through but is not limited to videos and infographics accessible online.

Ask a Librarian

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. This service shall include consultation and provision of factual answers to queries related to patron’s research through:
    • Librarian Help Desk
    • libraries@uc-bcf.edu.ph
      Note: UC email accounts shall be used in sending queries

Online Borrowing of Books

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. Fill-out online form to avail of this service.
  3. Borrowing provision
    • Circulation policies and procedures shall apply.
    • A notification will be sent via text message on the status of the requested books.
  4. Pick up of books
    • A notification will be sent via text message on the scheduled pick up date and time of the requested books, including location of pick up.
    • An advisory will be sent via email on the School entry guidelines for library patrons.
    • Present your UC I.D. card/ Enrollment Registration Form upon pick up of books. A representative may get the books on behalf of the patron provided the following shall be presented:
      • borrower’s UC I.D. card/ Enrollment Registration Form
      • borrower’s authorization letter
      • representative’s valid I.D. card

Returning of Books:

  • Return borrowed books on the indicated due date.
  • Return the items in the Book Drop facility located at:
    • Main Campus patrons: UC Main Gate
    • Legarda Campus patrons: Criminal Justice Education Library
    • Campo Libertad Campus patrons: UC Campo Libertad Gate 1 (Hamada)
  • A confirmation will be sent via e-mail to acknowledge the return of books.

Note: Employees may also return books to the Centralized Circulation Area, 5F Main Library (Mondays to Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

Online Document Delivery

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. This service includes sending through email documents such as but are not limited to scanned articles from journals, chapters/parts of books and research/theses abstracts available in the library’s collection; or downloaded e-books, articles from e-journals and other online resources. Documents delivered shall be based on information/research topics needed subject to the Fair Use Policy.
