Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a three-year degree program in the trimester school calendar system, is a preparatory course to Bachelor of Laws. It is designed to equip students with basic knowledge to become researchers and/or employees in government and non-government offices as well as in public and private political agencies.

Objectives:

  1. It aims to provide undergraduate students with a solid basic foundation on the major areas of political science to prepare them for careers in government, international affairs, and public administration of justice.
  2. It also prepares students for graduate work in political sciences or admission to law school.

Competency Standards:

  1. Evaluate conflicting arguments.
  2. Assemble and present empirical evidence.
  3. Make reasoned conclusions from the evidence available.
  4. Communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.
